The Chéticamp River, like most of the Park’s streams, arises from the bogs, small ponds and lakes on the interior of the [Cape Breton Highlands] plateau. At first it flows in a gentle gradient, as a series of pools and riffles, not much below the elevation of the surrounding terrain.
